Travel Safer Even If There Is Covid-19

We’ve been under lockdown for quite a long time now and for those who received their vaccination late, well of course they had to be at home longer. However, the government has loosened the law a little and allows us to travel now.

You will still need to take a few precaution steps to make sure that you and your loved one are safe while travelling right? Here is what you can do to be safer.

“Caution is the parent of safety.” - Hang

1) Complete your vaccination.

Before going for your trip, you must make sure that you have completed 2 doses of vaccination and 14 days period for vaccine that requires 2 doses and 28 days period for vaccine that requires only one dose.

Vaccines are important guys. No vaccines, no travel.

2) Swab test.

Take a swab test at the clinic 48 hours before your departure date and bring the test result with you while you go for your trip. You may also purchase your own self-testing kit and bring it along with you. Conduct the test at the designated screening sites at the airport or the ferry.

Make sure the result is negative ok?

3) Wear a mask.

Make sure to wear a mask all the time when you are travelling. Make sure the mask covers your nose and fit it against the sides of your face without gaps. Even if you had worn a mask, stay at least 2 meters away, especially when indoors, around people who you don’t live in the same house as you.

Don’t re-use your mask alright?

4) Use the sanitizer.

We as a traveller sure will touch this and that, be it picking up souvenirs or the street snack or when purchasing items. Make sure to use the sanitizer to clean your hand after choosing your item.

Make sure to not rub your nose or your eye with your dirty hands too.

5) Use disinfectant spray.

You really cannot allow yourself to be exposed to the virus out there when travelling. Use the disinfectant spray. Spray it in your hotel room. Although the hotel workers might sanitize the room for you but hey, you can never be safer right? It is always better to be safe than sorry. Just spray it.

Use disinfectant spray in your car too because you are stepping in and out of your car the whole trip. You ain’t just sit in your car the whole time right? You will go out there, have a walk and come back and might not know what you had “brought” along with you. *cough virus.
