Accidents happen for many reasons and it can happen both outside and inside of your car. All accidents are really unfortunate but if you got a chewing gum stuck on your seat, you are not just unfortunate, you are unfortunate with a nasty and ugly seat.
It's ok, don’t worry. The nightmare won't last very long. We got some method that can help you remove that nasty and stubborn chewing gum from your seat.
To clean off the chewing gum, you’ll need :
Adhesive remover
Cleaning cloth or towel
Ice
Plastic bag
Plastic scraper
Soap water
Tape
Step 1: Apply ice to the gum
The first step for removing gum from your seat’s upholstery is by using ice or other cold “things” that can harden it. Take a little ice, wrap it in a plastic bag, and apply it directly to the chewing gum for a few minutes until it gets hard.
Tip: Park your car somewhere colder and turn on the aircond. If the water rolls down, remember to wipe it.
Step 2: Scrape chewing gum off.
Use a small plastic scraper or a card and pry underneath the gum. Scrape the chewing gum off. Keep scraping all the pieces of the chewing gum. If the gum turn soft, apply the ice again to harden it.

Step 3: Use sticky tape to “stick” off remaining gum.
If there is still stubborn gum left behind, use a tape, stick on it and pull it off. Repeat until the gum is lifted.
Step 4: Use an adhesive remover.
If the tape method does not work, use an adhesive remover. Apply it to a piece of cloth, not too much. Then wipe the spot of the chewing gum until the chewing gum is lifted. Just make sure the adhesive remover is safe to use on your upholstery. Read its label.
Step 5: Use soap and water.
Use soap water and a clean cloth and wipe out the remaining gum. Don’t use too much soap or you will risk damaging your upholstery if it’s leather. After wiping off the chewing gum, remember to use a piece of dry cloth to wipe away the excessive soap water.
There you go guys. These steps above should be able to help you remove the chewing gum. If the chewing gum is still not lifted, we strongly recommend you to visit the professional cleaner.
We wish you all the best but actually, what is so hard with spitting the gum in the wrap or on a piece of tissue? Well, who knows.
